Pastor Shakour served as Youth Director and later as Assistant Pastor of Campus Church at Pensacola Christian College before being called to pastor the people of Tabernacle Baptist Church in Wilson, NC, in February 2011. He has completed a Certificate in Christian Counseling, a Bachelor of Arts in Pastoral Studies/Biblical Languages, a Master of Divinity in Pastoral Leadership, and a Doctor of Theology. He is a certified recovery coach and serves as a board member of the Wilson County Department of Social Services. Pastor Shakour is also adjunct faculty at West Coast Baptist College in Lancaster, CA, and frequently speaks at youth camps, conferences, and revival meetings across the country.

He is a passionate Bible preacher, committed to Spirit-filled expositional preaching. Together with his wife and seven children, Pastor Shakour strives to love and lead a church for the glory of God!
