Title: The Obedience of Faith

Introduction: As we are learning throughout this series, it is impossible to please God without a true and pure display of faith in your everyday living.

But what does it mean to please God?

Living by faith, true faith in God, will always lead us to obey His Word.

Let’s seek together to understand obedience and examine the life of obedience as lived out, through faith, by our example here—Abraham

I. Obedience Is the Pathway to Blessing—vs. 8

A. A committed faith

B. A clear command

C. A contingent promise

D. A contiguous response

II. Obedience Is the Parent of Promise—vs. 9

A. Abraham experienced God’s promises

B. Abraham extended God’s promises

III. Obedience Is the Foundation of the Future—vs. 10

A. Not all futures have solid foundations

B. Not all Futures are Structured by God

Conclusion: Abraham trusted God and obeyed Him by faith.

What is your response to the Word of God?

What is the level of your obedience?

Are you truly living by faith?

Living through faith means living by obedience.

  • Obedience is the pathway of blessing
  • Obedience is the parent of promise
  • Obedience is the foundation of the future
