Introduction: We are all familiar with the story of the wise men coming from the East because they saw a star. We may have some misconceptions about this story that have been fostered by traditions.

I. Seek Christ in Christmas by Looking to the Sky

A. The wise men began their search because they saw a star

B. They were not satisfied with looking at earthly things

II. Seek Christ in Christmas by Looking into Scripture

A. They continued their search by consulting the Word of God

B. They believed and responded to what was written, and it brought them to Him

III. Seek Christ in Christmas by Looking beyond Those That Scoff

A. Herod responded in anger

B. The religious leaders responded with indifference

C. The city responded with fear

Conclusion: Are you seeking the Christ of Christmas?
